FIELD: plastic processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of manufacturing a reinforced thermoplastic part. Technical result is achieved by a method of manufacturing a reinforced thermoplastic composite part that comprises moving a laminate of reinforcing fibres embedded in a thermoplastic matrix for sequential operations through a heating station and then a forming station, using the heating station to soften the thermoplastic matrix in a portion of the laminate while using the forming station to impart a geometry to a portion of the laminate whose thermoplastic matrix had just been softened. Softening and forming are performed simultaneously on different portions of the laminate. Forming includes performing a multi-stamping operation using multistage tooling to impart different geometries to different portions of the laminate.
EFFECT: technical result is flexibility of setup and simplification of the equipment.
