FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for creating high-temperature high-speed particle flows that can be used, in particular for applying a powder coating to products of any shape. Apparatus for applying a powder coating using high temperature high speed particles flows of a throwing powder comprises a barrel in which a charging chamber with a main throwing powder charge and an initiation means is disposed, the piston adjoining the charging chamber with the main throwing charge, a container with an additional charge from the thermite mixture mixed with the powder being thrown, additional charge ignition device and the diaphragm, installed at the end of the barrel, which is a container cut-off with an additional charge.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity of coatings is provided.
