FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the protection of the environment and can be used for waste water purification from organic dyes. Destruction of organic dyes in waste water is carried out by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a catalyst. Catalyst is a surface-supported cobalt aluminate of γ-Al2O3 and contains cobalt in an amount of 0.2–0.3 wt% in terms of metal. Oxidation is carried out at pH of 6–8 at 60 °C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the degree of destruction of organic dyes, to increase the efficiency of the process.
