FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices intended to connect non-insulated wires on the supports of overhead power lines with a voltage of 6–500 kV. Device is a loop connected to wires (1) of overhead power lines. Loop is made from insulated wire (2), manufactured as one integral element or recruited from connected with each other elements. Loop can include clamps or insulated wire (2) connected in bent ends (3) of clamps (4), which are not part of the loop. Cross-section, length and total thickness of wire insulation (2), respectively, are selected from certain values.
EFFECT: device according to the invention prevents birds from being hit by electric current and excludes overlapping due to the clashing with the support elements and other parts of the overhead power transmission line.
