SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry. The bird protection device for connecting wires on the supports of overhead power lines consists of a piece of wire with insulation, the ends of which are made without insulation, on which bushings are permanently fixed. The insulation is additionally covered on top with a layer of cross-linked non-combustible polyethylene, while the junction of the sleeve and the wire is covered with elastic silicone rubber, which overlaps part of the sleeve and part of the insulation, and the sleeves are located at a distance from the wire insulation, which is filled with elastic silicone rubber.
EFFECT: increase the service life of wire connection devices.
