FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used for bottom blowing of metal in a ladle with an inert gas. Tuyere contains a metal sleeve filled with a refractory mass to form a gap with respect to the bottom thereof, which is provided with a wear indicator and longitudinal through slotted channels connected to the cavity of the gas supply tube by the said gap. In this case, it is made with metal slag catchers in the form of bridges of refractory material placed in longitudinal slotted channels in rows perpendicular to the direction of flow of metal and slag, the gaps between the metal slag catchers in the same row being opposite the metal slag catchers in the adjacent row, while the width of the metal slag catcher is greater than the gaps between them, and the distance between two adjacent rows of metal slag catchers is less than the maximum depth of metal and slag flowing due to the flow rate and pressure of the inert gas.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the operability of the tuyere by reducing the depth of penetration of metal and/or slag into the slotted channels to a value at which they are pushed out of the channels by an inert gas stream and thereafter do not interfere with its passage.
