FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for bottom blowing of metal in a steel ladle (2) comprises two tuyeres (4, 5), the tuyeres placed jointly at the bottom of the ladle are located in individual socket blocks (6, 7), wherein the socket blocks are fastened together with a fire-resistant mass. The liquid metal of each melting is blown through one of the tuyeres when the working surface of one tuyere through which the bottom blowing of the liquid metal of the next melting will be executed is treated with oxygen. The distance between the tuyeres at the bottom of the bucket ranges from the distance whereat the socket blocks wherein said tuyeres are placed touch to the distance whereat the distance between the longitudinal axes of the tuyeres is no greater than four diameters of the lower base of the tuyere.
EFFECT: process of production of socket blocks is simplified with the possibility of installing each tuyere in a predetermined place at the bottom of the bucket for maximum efficiency of blowing.
