SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a dentifrice composition in a container and a method for suppressing the adsorption of oil-soluble medicinal ingredients by the container surface. Dentifrice composition is held in a container having a polyethylene innermost layer. Composition comprises components (A)-(F): (A) one or more oil-soluble medicinal ingredient selected from tocopherol, triclosan and isopropyl methylphenol; (B) from 0.3 wt% to 2 wt% of an anionic surfactant; (C) 0.15 wt% to 5 wt% of polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil; (D) polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters with an average molar number of introduced ethylene oxide of 2 to 40; (E) from 15 wt% to 50 wt% of water, and (F) from 0.3 wt% to 2 wt% of binder. Mass ratio of component (C) and component (D) ((C)/(D)) is 0.2 to 2. Method for suppressing the adsorption of oil-soluble medicinal ingredients by the container surface comprises storing the above dentifrice composition in a tubular container having a polyethylene innermost layer and having an outlet valve formed through a polyethylene shoulder of 0.8 mm to 2.5mm.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective prevention of the adsorption of oil-soluble medicinal ingredients by the container walls while maintaining good foaming properties, as well as effectively suppressing the increase in the viscosity of the composition at a low temperature.
