FIELD: signaling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fare payment devices. Tolling system comprises a plurality of image sensors. Image sensors are adapted to be located in the middle and at a predetermined distance above the surveillance zone provided on the road. Surveillance zone extends along the road direction. Image sensors are adapted to be located between the first and second end zones of the surveillance zone and are provided with a wide-angle optical system that is refractive and which is positioned relative to the image sensors such that the images captured by the image sensors comprise both end zones. Plurality of image sensors continuously captures surveillance zone images, combine information from images and store output data. Output data comprises at least first and second images from one image sensor. First image comprises the characteristics of the front of the vehicle in the first end zone, and the second image comprises characteristics of the rear of the vehicle in the second end zone.
EFFECT: simplification of the tolling system.
