FIELD: hydro acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydroacoustics. In the passive location of radiation sources, extended receiving systems (RS) and two-coordinate indicators with a discrete grid and static signal accumulation are used. Aim of the invention is to increase the accuracy of determining the coordinates of the moving radiation sources of the wide-aperture RS by the signal mark (SM) on the indicator and increasing the operator's efficiency in the presence of several moving sources. To achieve this technical result, a passive sonar is used comprising a wide-aperture receiving system of M receivers with P×Q space-time processing channels and an indicator with a discrete grid. Sight is made to the maximum of the SM visible on the indicator, its position is fixed on the cradle, and go into the automatic tracking mode, which includes the selection of the CS fragment from the rows and columns closest to αn0, Dn0 respectively. Clarify the position of the maximum of the SM in the direction, then, the position of the maximum of the SM along the range is refined and go to the next T accumulation cycle mapping. To refine αi* on the i-th tracking cycle the fragment of a new line of CSi by α at a distance D=Dni, but to obtain a new value of Di* the fragment of a new column in D is defined with the direction α=αi*, find the maximum values in this row and this column using interpolation and the position of these maxima on the scale of direction and range, respectively, are taken as new values of αi* and Di*.
EFFECT: invention can be used in passive wide-aperture sonar, as well as in plane wave hydroacoustics, atmospheric acoustics and passive radar.
