FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydroacoustics and can be used in passive sonar in the radiation area of the source with circular (spherical, cylindrical) wave front, as well as in atmospheric acoustics and passive radar ranging. Actual task in these fields of engineering is observation and determination of coordinates – direction and range of a weak source in the presence of a strong interfering source. To this end, method of passive determination of coordinates of radiation sources is proposed, comprising reception of signals M by antennae, M≥3, located in space in a known manner, preliminary processing of signals of receivers and two-coordinate field-of-view indicator. From the outputs of the RS receivers, a channel for measuring and tracking the coordinates of the strong IS<αo, Do> and main channel. On each antenna of the RS from outputs of the IS tracking adder, a power density spectrum (PDS) Pok and forming fan of Npk of directed channels (DC) and from outputs of main channel DC adders of total power density meters (TPD) Cmpk of signal from output of each p-th DC of m-th antenna with signal from output of IS adder are organized. In each of M×Npk DC at each frequency ƒk strong interfering source signal is rejected. Signals of the DC, which are thus "cleaned" from strong interference, are used to form a two-coordinate indicator array in a known manner (prototype) for detecting a signal mark of a weak source and determining its coordinates from the position of its maximum on the coordinate scales of the indicator.
EFFECT: method is proposed for passive determination of hydroacoustic radiation sources coordinates.
