FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to hypoallergenic allergen polypeptides of cereal allergens Phl p 5, and can be used in medicine for the treatment of type 1 allergy, the initiation of which involves allergens of the fifth group of the family of cereals (Poaceae). Mutant polypeptide of Phl p 5 allergen is produced by mutations of one or more prolines at positions 57, 58, 117, 146, 155, 180, 211 and 229 of the wild-type Phl p5.0109 amino acid sequence.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain allergen polypeptides that have a reduced IgE reactivity compared to known wild type allergens and, at the same time, substantially retained reactivity with T lymphocytes.
