FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, the integrity of the inner structure of semi-transparent objects is determined due to measurement of characteristics of the resulting distribution of intensity of reflected laser radiation in the form of a speckle image. For this purpose they determine differences between intensities of speckle images received at the previous and subsequent stages of probing, provided that capacity of the subsequent probings meets the condition of Pn>Pn-1.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of detection of parameters of subsurface structure of optically semi-transparent objects and depth of an inner defect in a controlled object.
