SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for servicing coke ovens. Positioning device installed in operating positions in front of coke ovens (2), said device being movable parallel to coke oven (2) battery (1) of service machine (7) and comprising, mounted on service machine (7), devices for guiding an object relating to the respective coke oven (2) and devices for reaching the respective operating position by registering the object with the guidance devices. Guiding object is formed by one vertical edge of charging hole (3) of coke oven (2). Devices for reaching operating position comprise an adjusting device and a device connected thereto for measuring the length of the travel path.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of the positioning of machine for serving coke ovens.
