FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable networks and can be used to prevent the spread of fire to adjacent rooms through cable sealing boxes (sealing gland, cable gland, cable boxes), for example, in marine vessels. Front surface of the sealant is blown with warm air for several minutes and the temperature of the rear surface is continuously monitored with a thermal imager. Passage of the heat field from the front surface to the rear surface is recorded. In the presence of air-permeable defects, holes on the rear surface, areas with increased temperature are recorded by a thermal imager.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of quality control of sealant uniformity and localization of air leakage of the structure.
