FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an electrophotographic image forming device (imaging device) and a cartridge which is detachably mounted into main assembly of image forming device. Claimed group of inventions includes variants of technological cartridges. Moreover, the process cartridge comprises a photosensitive drum, a development roller for displaying a latent image on the photosensitive drum, the development roller being movable relative to the photosensitive drum between (i) first position, in which the development roller is located near the photosensitive drum so that the development roller can exhibit a latent image on the photosensitive drum and (ii) second position, in which the development roller is spaced from said photosensitive drum and a clutch comprising: first drive transmission element capable of receiving a rotating force to thereby rotate about the axis of rotation, wherein the first drive transmission member includes an engagement portion comprising at least one protrusion and a second drive transmission member capable of receiving a rotational force from the first drive transmission member, so as to rotate about the axis of rotation and transmit the rotational force to the development roller, the second drive transmission member including an engaging portion comprising at least one protrusion, wherein the engagement portion of the second drive transmission member is configured to engage the engaging portion of the first drive transmission member, wherein the engagement portion of the first drive transmission member and the engagement portion of the second drive transmission member are in contact with each other when the development roller is in the first position, so as to enable the second drive transmission element to receive a rotational force from the first drive transmission member, and wherein the engaging portion of the first drive transmission member and the engagement portion of the second drive transmission member are separated from each other, when the development roller is in the second position, in order to prevent reception by the second drive transmission element of the rotational force from the first drive transmission member.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improved coupling for switching drive for developing roller.
