FIELD: photography.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cartridge installable and removable from the body of an electrophotographic imaging apparatus. The cartridge includes: (i) a rotating development roller for developing a latent image formed on a photosensitive element; (ii) a first drive transfer element for receiving the rotating force formed by the body of the apparatus; (iii) a second drive transfer element capable of connecting with the first drive transfer element and transferring the rotating force received by the first drive transfer element to the development roller; and (iv) a connection disengaging element including a force receiving section capable of receiving the force formed by the body of the apparatus and a driving section capable of imparting movement on at least one of the first drive transfer element and the second drive transfer element, using the force received by the force receiving section to separate one of the first drive transfer element and the second drive transfer element from the other to disengage the connection.
EFFECT: improving the coupling for switching the drive for the development roller.
