FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measuring technology and concerns a quantum trap-detector. Quantum trap detector contains two photodiodes installed at a given angle in the form of a wedge, the length of each photodiode and the angle between them providing a calculated, for a given accuracy, the number of reflections of the incident radiation. Photodiode, installed first in the path of the incident radiation, has quantum efficiency, which makes it possible to detect the amount of energy, equal, within the specified accuracy, to the amount of energy detected by the second photodiode. Second photodiode has a quantum efficiency that exceeds the quantum efficiency of the first photodiode, and provides a given measurement accuracy.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expanding the range of measured power and increasing the accuracy of measurements.
