SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, in particular to an (N-substituted imidazole)-carboxylic acid ester chiral compound containing an ether side chain of formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a compound of formula (I), a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and use thereof.
EFFECT: technical result: an ester chiral compound is obtained useful in the preparation of drugs inhibiting the central nervous system, which can cause sedative, hypnotic and/or anesthetic effects.
