SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical pharmacology, and can be used for the quantitative determination of lycarbazepine in blood plasma for solving the problems of drug monitoring of the second generation anticonvulsant in the treatment of partial epilepsy. Method for the quantitative determination of lycarbazepine in blood plasma by performing liquid-liquid extraction of lycarbazepine from blood plasma followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry of extraction products and calculating the concentration of lycarbazepine includes extraction of the analyte and the internal standard, nordazepam, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry of a solution of extraction products comprising the analyte and an internal standard, followed by calculating the concentration of lycarbazepine according to formula: Y=6.710⋅X+0.7567, where Y is the concentration of lycarbazepine (mcg/ml), X is the ratio of the area of the chromatographic peak of lycarbazepine to peak area of the internal standard, nordazepam.

EFFECT: method for quantitative determination of lycarbazepine in blood plasma has been proposed.
