SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical pharmacology. Method for determining levodopa in blood plasma comprises a blood test for presence of levodopa by purification of blood plasma, chromatography – mass spectrometry using a matrix in the form of plasma blood with levodopa and an internal standard of methyldopa, wherein extraction products are separated on a reverse-phase chromatographic column, and formic acid and acetonitrile are used as an eluent, followed by calculation of the levodopa concentration, wherein the purification is carried out by solid-phase extraction with activated alumina, extraction products are separated on a reverse-phase chromatography column of 4.6×250 mm with phenylhexyl as a stationary phase, levodopa concentration is calculated by formula: C=4.384714×AR, where C – levodopa concentration (mcg/ml), AR is the ratio of the area of the chromatographic peak of levodopa to the peak area of the internal standard.

EFFECT: invention can be used to quantify levodopa in blood plasma for solving drug monitoring problems in the treatment of patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.
