FIELD: milling.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the manufacture of bevel gears for teeth cutting and face milling of conical and hypoid gears. Cutter head is disc-shaped and comprises first and second sides, between which one or more slots for cutters pass. Each of these includes at least one seating surface having a modified shape and extends from said first side to said second side, said modified shape deviating from the rectilinear shape of the continuous straight seating surface. Head is configured to press the cutter to at least one seating surface for the cutters so that after the cutter has been pre-clamped and axially installed, it enables to adjust the radial position of the end of the cutter by increasing the tightening of the clamping screw located in the region of the modified portion of the seating surface of the cutters.
EFFECT: optimal positioning of the cutting edges of the cutters during machining.
