FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical measurements and is intended in order to detect the defective insulating structure, for example insulators of a high-voltage transmission line, when performing a visual inspection. Essence: the light indicator includes the light emitter with two electrodes (1 and 2), the discharge switch, which is connected between the electrodes. Emitter comprises the rectifier (3), whose input is connected to the electrodes (1 and 2), and the output through the storage capacitor resistor, the first light emitting element (4) with the electronic key, this element is connected to the storage capacitor, the second light emitting element (5) with the electronic key, which is connected to the storage capacitor via the electric valve (6) and to the rectifier output through the second capacitor. Second capacitor together with the second light-emitting element (5) with the electronic key form the high-frequency filter, whose time constant is set based on the permissible intensity of partial electrical discharges on the insulating structure.

EFFECT: providing indication of various states of the insulating structure with fixation of the intensity of partial discharges on the insulation and increasing the brightness of the glow of the light indicator.
