FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tire mold and a pneumatic tire. Tire mold comprises a plurality of sectors and a plurality of mold pins provided on a plurality of mold sectors to form insertion holes in the tread portion. Each of the insert holes comprises a first portion of an opening having a first inner diameter in which the body portion of a rod-shaped neck, and a second opening portion with a second inner diameter exceeding the first inside diameter in which the lower flange portion of the rod-shaped neck is disposed. Each of the mold pins comprises a main body with a first outer diameter to form a first part of an opening and an end portion with a second outer diameter exceeding the first outer diameter to form a second portion of an opening. First outer diameter of the main part of the end pin of the mold, provided in the end zone of each of the mold sectors, exceeds the first outer diameter of the main part of the middle mold pin provided in the middle zone of each of the mold sectors.
EFFECT: crack suppression is provided when forming the insertion openings.
