METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING AND TREATMENT OF SEASONAL AFFECTIVE DISORDER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61N5/06 G01N33/52

Abstract RU 2661020 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and medical equipment. Ophthalmic device contains: an energy source; light source; a biomarker sensor which is designed with possibility to detect changes in tear fluid biomolecules and generate signals; as well as a processor in a logical connection with the biomarker sensor, configured to receive and process the signal data and convert it into output data. In this case, the light source is controlled by the processor and is located near it. When used, the ophthalmic device measures changes in tear fluid, builds correlations between changes in tear fluid biomarkers and symptoms of seasonal affective disorder and generates data related to phototherapy. With the help of phototherapy, the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder are treated.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the effectiveness of treatment, which is achieved due to the used ophthalmological device.
