FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the determination of the levels of gaseous elements. Method for determining the levels of gaseous elements comprises obtaining at the beginning of the measurement period a first electronic image of the device, having a colorimetric sensor element which is designed with possibility to change the color in response to the effect of one or more contaminants, and the degree of color change depends on the concentration of pollutants; obtaining at the end of the measurement period a second electronic image of a colorimetric sensor; determining a first value and a second value based on the color of the colorimetric sensor element in the first and second electronic images, respectively; determining, based on the first and second values, the amount of contamination for one or more contaminants to which the colorimetric sensing element was subjected during the measurement period.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy, reliability and ease of use of colorimetric elements.
