FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detection of biological, chemical and biochemical processes at the interface between a liquid-solid and a gas-solid body, i.e. to biological, chemical and biochemical surface sensors. Claimed method of optical detection with a two-dimensional visualization of deposition processes on the surface of a solid body and on the sensory layers and the device for its realization consist in fact that the thicknesses and composition of the layers under a given surface of the solid is selected in such a way, so that this surface supports the distribution of near-surface waveguide modes with a spectrum falling between the spectral absorption maxima of the color pixels in the color matrix used to record these modes. As a source of excitation of the data of near-surface modes, a source with a wide spectrum of radiation is selected, containing a continuous spectrum between the spectral absorption maxima of the data of two kinds of color pixels in the recording matrix.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity of recording the thickness of the adsorbed layers of the desired components and increased dynamic range of measurement of the thickness of the adsorbed layers of the desired components.
