BIOCHIP SUBSTRATE AND METHOD OF ITS FABRICATION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B82B1/00 B82B3/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2411180 C1

FIELD: physics, optics.

SUBSTANCE: biochip substrate represents a glass plate with metal nanoparticles (Au, Ag, Pt). In compliance with this invention, said plate is made from silicate photochromic glass or photo-thermo-refracting glass and comprises matrix of through glass channels oriented perpendicular to surface or at angle to is that feature optical density not exceeding 0.2, while glass with metal nanoparticles that surrounds said matrix features optical density exceeding 0.4. Faces of channels on substrate working surface have recesses that comprises surface 10-50 nm-thick layer of metal nanoparticles. Invention covers also the method of producing describe biochip.

EFFECT: optical isolation of radiation flows, protection of nanoparticles or nanostructures against interaction with analysed medium, higher sensitivity of biochip.
