FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: ambient air temperature measurement unit relates to instrumentation and is used to measure the ambient air temperature and display its current value on the computer screen. Proposed is an ambient air temperature measurement unit, containing a series-connected digital thermometer, adapter and computer. Adapter contains a series-connected microcontroller, interface isolator, interface converter and power insulator, the output of which is connected to the power input of the microcontroller. Moreover, the digital thermometer is connected to the microcontroller via a data bus of single-wire interface 1-Wire. Output of the microcontroller is connected to the input of the interface isolator via a UART bus. Output of the interface isolator is also connected to the input of the interface converter via a UART bus, and the other input of the interface converter, the input of the power isolator are connected to the input of the USB port of the computer. Computer is equipped with a printer.

EFFECT: ensuring a stable operation of the device in conjunction with a digital thermometer with a length of a connecting cable of more than 10 meters, by using an adapter with an interface isolator that provides galvanic isolation of the digital thermometer and computer.
