Method and system for performing a biomechanical diagnosis of an eye disease may include a source of Brillouin emission for generating a Brillouin beam acting on a sample, and a light source for generating a second harmonic (SHG) to generate a beam acting on the sample with SHG. And Brillouin beam, which acts on the sample, and the beam acting on the sample with SHG can be aligned in a confocal way to a sample of biological tissue to the point of focusing. Brillouin scattering due to the scattering of a Brillouin beam acting on a sample, can be detected to determine the elastomechanical property and viscoelastic property of the sample. SHG produced by the scattering of a beam acting on a sample with SHG, can be detected to determine the sign of the morphological structure of the sample. Sample can be in vivo human cornea.
EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will allow early detection of the pathogenesis of eye diseases.
