FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: using: for instant optical coherence tomography in time domain (iTD-OCT). Summary of Invention is that withand an instantaneous optical coherent tomography (iTD-OCT) system provide instantaneous optical depth profiles in axial direction of sample having scattering properties, or sample that is at least partially reflective. Device for iTD-OCT contains spectral detector having internal optical axis and containing matrix of pixels of detector. Reference beam having constant optical path length is aligned on optical axis with measuring beam containing photons scattered back from the sample. Detector pixels capture interference pattern in time domain arising in spectral detector due to differences in optical path lengths between photons from reference beam and photons from measurement beam. Device for iTD-OCT can be realized as robust solid-state device that does not contain moving parts.

EFFECT: technical result: providing possibility of rapid visualization with high sensitivity in implementation of robust solid state device with increased functionality, which has no moving parts.
