FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of exploration or detection by electrical or magnetic means and can be used to detect conductive objects. Proposed metal detector contains a body made in the form of rack 1, inside which magnetoresistive solid-state sensors 2, 3, 4 and 5 are mounted uniformly along its height, each connected to its amplifier input 6, 7, 8 and 9, each of which is connected with its output to the input of its high-pass filter 10, 11, 12 and 13 (HPF), whose outputs are connected to the input of analog-to-digital converter 14 (ADC) whose output is connected to the input of visualization and control unit 15, which in turn is connected to the inputs of magnetoresistive solid-state sensors 2, 3, 4 and 5. All elements of the claimed device are located inside rack 1, with the exception of visualization and control unit 15, which can also be located inside rack 1. Visualization and control unit 15 consists of a communication module with ADC 14, as well as with a microcontroller, display, battery, communication module with a personal computer, an audio notification module (not shown).
EFFECT: present invention is directed to realizing the possibility of recording the position of the ferromagnetic object in the control zone with increasing sensitivity to changes in the magnetic field.
