SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the detection of conductive objects, can be used to identify firearms, grenades, bladed weapons disguised under clothing or in luggage. Metal detector comprises transmitting sensor 1, receiving sensor 2, compensation unit 3, input stage 4, ADC 5, control unit 6, generator 7. Compensation unit 3 comprises adder 8, DAC 9, compensation generator 10. One output of control unit 6 is connected to the input of generator 7, and the other output is connected to the input of compensation generator 10. Output of generator 7 is connected to the input of transmitting sensor 1. Receiving sensor 2 is connected by its output to the input of adder 8 of compensation unit 3, which is connected by its output to the input of input stage 4, whose output is connected to the input of ADC 5, whose output is connected to the input of control unit 6. In compensation unit 3, the output of compensation generator 10 is connected to the input of DAC 9, whose output is connected to the input of adder 8.
EFFECT: broader conditions for the use of metal detectors with easier manufacture of sensors thereof.
