FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, to ferromagnetic devices controlled by changing the air gap. Reactor with adjustable clearance contains a magnetic core with a middle rod consisting of two parts – a movable upper and a fixed lower core, side yokes, windings – the main, signal and control, the mechanism for adjusting the gaps with the drive shaft moving cores. Middle rod of the magnetic core is made in the form of two movable cores arranged coaxially. Speed of movement of the upper core relative to the fixed core is twice the speed of the lower core. Solution allows to divide the required adjustable single gap of the middle rod into two equal parts and provides reduction of the dispersion fields and the level of bulging of the magnetic flux.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the losses from eddy currents, the level of noise and vibration arising when the magnetic flux is buckled in a regulated single air gap.
