FIELD: measurement; testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control valves. In this document, methods and apparatus for acoustic calibration of a hydraulic valve are disclosed. Typical method involves turning the valve closure member into a plurality of positions along the valve stroke, receiving acoustic emission signals generated by the fluid flowing through the valve, by the sensor, when the locking element is in certain positions, and determining, using the zero-position processor, the locking element based on the acoustic emission signals.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the valve.
