SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For the implantation of intrastromal corneal segments in the pellucid corneal degeneration, the cylindrical refractive component is measured, the height and length of the segment arc are measured, and the segments are implanted. In accordance with the keratotopography pattern of the cornea, two intrastromal corneal segments are implanted, having a hemispherical shape with an internal diameter of 5.0 mm and an outer diameter of 6.2 mm in the section. In this case, the height of the segments is calculated separately for the upper and lower segments, based on the parameters of the cylindrical refractive component calculated according to the keratotopogram separately in the upper and lower parts of the cornea: at cyl of 3.0–4.0 diopters, the segment with height of 150 microns is implanted, at cyl 5.0–7.0 diopters – 200 mcm, at cyl 8.0–9.0 diopters – 250 mcm, at cyl more than 10 diopters – 300 mcm. In the lower part of the cornea implant segment with an arc length of 90°, a segment with an arc length of 120° is implanted in the upper part of the cornea.

EFFECT: method allows you to achieve a high visual acuity without correction or with a tolerated spectacle correction due to the most correct, topographically oriented selection of height and arc length of implanted intrastromal corneal segments.
