SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of traffic information generation, which will be used in cartographic applications. Method comprises obtaining information on the device movement, which indicate some of the user devices plurality movement pattern. Method comprises: device movement analysis by the particular road segment selection; obtaining the first movement pattern associated with the first user, traveling on the particular road segment, and the second movement pattern associated with the second user traveling on the particular road segment; and the first movement pattern and the second movement pattern comparison. In response to the fact, that the first movement pattern and the second movement pattern indicate the discrepancy between the first user and the second user, entering and exiting the particular road segment and passing to the same subsequent road segment, the method comprises increase in the associated with the second user overtaking score.
EFFECT: enabling the more accurate traffic forecasting.
