FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and entomology. Proposed is a method for obtaining a preparation for regulating the number of an ordinary mosquito (Culex pipiens). Method includes adding salts to the solution in an amount of: NaCl – 7.4 g/l; KCl – 0.34 g/l; CaCl2 – 0.22 g/l and addition of an aqueous solution of a short 18-nucleotide conserved antisense fragment of the antiapoptotic IAP-1 gene of a mosquito with sequence 5'-CACAACGTGGCCACACGG-3', mixed with "Liposam", in an amount that the concentration of DNA fragments in the solution was 2 femtomoles/mcL.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the selectivity and effectiveness of the effect on the ordinary mosquito, reducing the number of individuals passing to the stage of the adult.
