FIELD: photogrammetry.
SUBSTANCE: using: for monitoring a detail by means of X-ray tomography. Summary of the invention consists in receiving an X-ray tomographic image of the part, and then performing a step of correlating said image with a reference, wherein in the correlation step a search is made in a predetermined set of transformations of X-ray tomographic images of such a transformation that minimizes the difference between the image and the reference in order to characterize the inside of said part.
EFFECT: providing the ability to obtain quickly a 3D image of a part, using smaller number of X-ray images than in conventional methods.
