FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry and can be used for production of a high-quality biologically active additive (BAD), which has antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties. Dietary food supplement is a powder derived from pumpkin squashes by treating them in an ultra-high frequency electromagnetic field with a frequency of 2,450 MHz, drying, cooling and grinding. In this case, the treatment of pumpkin squashes in an ultra-high frequency electromagnetic field is carried out at a heating rate up to a temperature of 40–45 °C, equal to 0.8–0.9 °C/sec.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain biologically active food additive with high antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties.
