FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the polymer industry and can be used for medical implants and cell culture. Surface of the polylactide products is modified by functionalizing with hydroxyl groups by treating a high-frequency plasma discharge of an inert gas. Processed articles are exposed to water for at least 5 hours before exposure to the plasma at a chamber temperature in the range of 35 °C to the glass transition temperature of the polylactide used. Simultaneously, in the plasma processing chamber, a temperature in the range of -35 °C to -7 °C is maintained. Process is carried out for not more than 20 seconds.
EFFECT: increased density of functional groups on the surface of the processed product, leading to a reduction in the period of bio-integration, is provided.
