FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for heat-resistant thermal insulating foams that can be used as a high-temperature thermal insulation that operates under oxidizing conditions. Composition for the heat-resistant heat-insulating foam includes a silicon-containing binder, hollow microspheres, a fibrous filler with the following composition component ratio, wt. %: siliceous binder 15.0–45.0, hollow carbon microspheres 12.0–65.0, quartz fibers 20.0–43.0. As a silicone-containing binder, the composition comprises a solution of polycarbosilane in xylene, as a hollow carbon microspheres – hollow microspheres of 20 to 100 microns in size, as a fibrous filler – quartz fibers with a length of 50–500 mcm and a diameter of 0.7–2.5 mcm.

EFFECT: reduced apparent density, thermal conductivity at 250 °C, compressive strength after 10 hours at 700 °C in the air 4_2–5_8 MPa.
