FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in electric power systems of ships of great power both civil and navy, containing two or more propulsion motors with propellers, for which it is necessary to ensure the operation of an electric motor system with a high energy efficiency index without the use of blocks for damping the braking energy of propulsion motors. In the method for controlling the braking and reversing of the multi-motor propulsion system, the power flows between the propulsion motors, the accumulator and the auxiliary consumers are controlled. Sructural diagram of the electromotive system for realizing the method has a simplicity and minimal number of elements of the power channel and allows the exchange of energy between propulsion motors and energy storage in dynamic modes of operation of the propulsion engine.
EFFECT: improving the quality and speeding up the process of braking the vessel without using a special braking module, which will increase the energy efficiency of the electric drive and improve the mass and dimensions and energy characteristics of the electromotive system.
