FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapeutic dentistry. Invention relates to a method of treating apical periodontitis, including mechanical and drug-induced treatment of sodium hypochlorite solution at the first stage, injection of thrombocyte autoplasma (TAP), obturation of canals by lateral condensation of gutta-percha, differing by the fact that in the first visit, drug-induced treatment of the root canal system is performed using 3.25 % sodium hypochlorite solution and 2.0 % chlorhexidine. Further, the root canal system is additionally subjected to surgical laser irradiation with wave length 970 nm, power 6 W in cyclic mode: 1–2 seconds – irradiation, 5–7 seconds – pause, total 5 cycles per each channel, immediately afterwards 1.0 ml is introduced into canal root canals TAP, as well as its injection into the transient fold in the area of the causative tooth in amount of 3.5 ml. Method comprises closing the tooth under glass ionomer for 2 days, the second visit is followed by similar treatment of the root canal system with high-intensity laser radiation in a cyclic mode, followed by continuous filling of the root canal system. Additionally, a course of the injection TAP in the area of transient fold of the causative tooth in amount of 4.5 ml in 14 days, then 28 days after the end of apical periodontitis treatment.

EFFECT: reduced time of reducing the inflammatory process ensured by complete drug-induced and physiotherapeutic post-treatment of the root canal system, stimulation of bone tissue regeneration and replacement of pathological focus in periapical area, acceleration of natural mechanisms of reducing sensitization of microflora in system of root canals.
