FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely dentistry. The method includes instrumental treatment of root canals with manual or machine tools according to the Crown Down technique, subsequent drug treatment using 0.2, wt. %, aqueous solution of polyaminopropyl biguanide heated to 26-28°C, and 17, wt. %, solution of ethylenediaminetetraacetate and ultrasonic activation, carrying out finishing irrigation with the specified solution of polyaminopropyl biguanide heated to 26-28°C, as well as permanent obturation of root canals by the method for vertical condensation.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of endodontic treatment of chronic apical periodontitis using an antiseptic composition that does not have a locally irritating and toxic effect, simplification of the procedure, reduction of treatment time.
