FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of encoding and decoding data and is intended for constructing a thinned out polar code. Method consists in comparing the sequence number of the phase of the current bit channel with the period index of the puncturing pattern to obtain a comparison result; obtaining the probability of a bit-channel transition according to the result of the comparison and the conditions for monitoring the bit parity of the serial number of the bit channel in each phase; obtaining the reliability value of each bit channel in accordance with the transition probability; and determining the index set of the information bit in accordance with the reliability values.
EFFECT: increase the performance of decoding process of thinned out polar code and reduce the error rate of the decimated polar code frame.
