FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aqueous binding composition for insulating products based on mineral wool comprising (a) at least one saccharide selected from reducing sugars and hydrogenated sugars, the proportion of hydrogenated sugars being 25 % to 100 % by weight, (b) at least one monomeric polybasic carboxylic acid or salt or an anhydride of such an acid, (c) greater than 2.0 % by weight, based on the total weight of the components (a) and (b), at least one epoxysilane. Invention also relates to a method of manufacturing an insulating product based on mineral wool, comprising applying said composition to mineral wool fibers, evaporation of the solvent phase and thermal curing of the composition and to a sound-insulating and / or heat-insulating product obtained by the said method.
EFFECT: aqueous binding composition for mineral wool based insulating products is proposed.
