FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid ice-melting compositions that are used to eliminate and prevent ice, ice and snow rolls on roads, squares, bridges, tunnels, pedestrian paths, courtyard territories, airfield coverings, to fight and prevent icicles on roofs of houses, equipment with inclined surfaces, including for processing the surfaces of aircraft before take-off. Ice-melting composition includes potassium acetate, sodium formate, functional additives and water at the following component ratio, by weight: sodium formate up more than 10 to 22; potassium acetate 15–30; functional additives up more than 1.0 to 5.0; water is the rest.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention is the expanded assortment of ice-melting compositions, lowered temperature of the onset of crystallization to minus 60 °C, increased melting capacity.
