FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment and, in particular, to ammunition – artillery shells, cruise missiles, bombs and other similar kinds of ammunition. Ammunition is characterized by the fact that it contains a shell, the main charge of explosives and a detonator with an explosive charge of a conical shape. Detonator is placed in the main charge of explosives and is made with a recess providing the possibility of changing the direction of the detonation wave-its direction not at right angles to the surface of the shell. This embodiment of the detonator provides reflection of the detonation wave from the walls of the shell with the maximum coverage of the main charge of the explosive, its excitation and maximum use of the power of the main charge of explosives. Shape of the detonator and its placement provide for the possibility of damping the shock wave on the first obstacle – the shell.
EFFECT: technical result is increased effectiveness of ammunition explosion.
