SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed are lactic acid bacteria strains, having antimicrobial activity (versions); use of one or more bacteria strains; a composition for treating or preventing diarrhoea in a new born non-human mammal. Lactic acid bacteria strains, deposited in CECT under registration numbers CECT 8163, CECT 8165, CECT 8164, CECT 8166, CECT 8347, CECT 8348, CECT 8349, CECT 8350, can maintain the same viability for 3 hours of incubation at pH 3.5 and for 4 hours of incubation in the presence of 0.45% bile extract. Composition contains one or more bacteria strains in an amount of 107 CFU per dose or more.
EFFECT: inventions allow to accelerate the growth and increase the weight of a new born non-human mammal and to ensure the prevention or treatment of bacterial infections.
